Default Tire Balancing Beads

Has anyone tried tire balancing beads? I just picked up a set of tires (used) for my truck and was thinking about trying the beads for balancing. The Jeep groups seem to swear by them.

Want to tag on this aread. I have never used them, but have heard some who have that praised them, some who couldn't wait to take them out and many dealers who say stay away. (But they could have felt they would loose business with them.) So I'm hesitant using them since I'm sssort of confused.

That's where I am at too. The Jeep crowd says the airsoft pellets work quite well so I may go that route and see what happens. I plan on mounting the 'new' tires myself so hopefully it will work out......

From what I see, the only problem is if they wear uneven, you'll need to pull them and do a standard balance before they wear the tire(s) out.
