Default NV273D gurus attendance requested :)

Good day everyone!
I'm working on a 273D tcase from an 08 Cummins 6.7L G56 truck. I had to replace the chain and a few other items in it, so decided to do a masker overhaul kit from quad4x4.

Tcase is back together (minus tailhousing) and I was working the selector shaft to verify functionality. Looking at the selector shaft (this is an electric shift tcase, unlike the near twin 271D), full CCW is 4L, one click CW is N, I'm assuming next CW click is 4H and last click CW is 2H.

Everything seems to operate smoothly.. HOWEVER.. It never seems to isolate the front output from the rear output. As if it always keeps the 4wd engaged.

I have no leftover parts, so I'm at a loss. Everything went back together smoothly, so I don't know what I'm missing here..

Your suggestions and such are greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rick

yeah, so I'm stupid.. I forgot to put a snap-ring in place, so the shaft wasn't sitting where it needed to be, causing the tips of the gear teeth to catch each other.. Tomorrow, I hang it back into the truck..
