I used to get a consistent 25.5 mpg at 65 mph, but not now. I was running propane...... I pulled the tank because I needed the room in the bed. I had just about the same thing as a 100 pound bottle in it. Also, I was getting gouged by the price. I was buying propane to heat my house for $1.299 per gallon and then had to pay $1 per pound ($4.25 per gallon) plus road tax so it actually cost me more money to run it. I did like the way the truck ran with it and the smoke was less with it too, but not at that price.......
