So here's what we found when we looked at my truck today... Not as dirty as I thought it was going to be.

We cleaned everything up and took my truck out for a test drive... guess what... no improvement...

So any other ideas about what could be causing my cruise control problems? It almost has to be electrical but we don't know where to start looking.

The cruise starts out good for the first 20 seconds or so. Then it will begin to accelerate and even one time it settled back down to the set point, otherwise it would just keep accelerating. I am wondering if it which speed sensor it works off of since there are three of them on her truck. Anybody have any suggestions?

It helped mine out but I noticed today it kinda went 5 over, but a couple miles later it would stay on the speed dead on. I am starting to think it is an issue with those orange seals, they seem pretty iffy looking.

I manually used the cruise with jumpers with the truck running and actually got it to rev up slowly to 1000 and hold, but then it would start doing weird stuff and eventually mess up, even though the cruise on the road worked fine. There is a lot of wizardary going on with it. I will keep messing with mine as well until it works flawlessly without having to wait for it to "warm up".

Not yet. It is 1.2* outside right now and the sky is clear as can be. Gonna get a might chilly tonight I think.
