I don't know about pre-ignition, except that I have to watch out for it when running propane.

The 12 and 24 valve engines only have one injection event. The noise is the flame front hitting the walls, piston, and head. The cylinder pressure jumps so quick that noise is made. The CRs have multiple injection events and raise the cylinder pressure more slowly in order to help keep noise down.

I got my dyno sheet on here. It isn't the best quality, but you can see how flat the torque curve is. DYNO SHEET

I posted a reply to your pic haha, thought I was still on here. I need to run mine and see what I get. I think mine would be shifted a lot farther over on RPM's.

If you look at my dyno sheet and notice the 299HP and 678TQ, that was before the injectors went in. The only difference was 300 injectors, not timing or tuning. I was told that they were RV275s that were EDM'd to 300s. They really did wake the truck up too!
