That's kinda what I thought. I could see no way to correct part of the speedometer. If it was electronic possibly, but not mechanical.

Its a 30$ chance to see if a new gear corrects your issue. It may very well do what you need.

Well, after putting on 160k miles, I probably won't get real exited about changing the gear. The way it is IF you run by the speedometer you won't have any trouble with going to fast!
