Thanks. I haven't seen the second one. Interesting.

My ankle was screwed up when I has in Vietnam, and I'm find it easier at times keeping the grab bar on the driver side pillar, so keeping it & having something that can be added helps me greatly.

The best ne thing I noticed the other day is if you have your visor down you wouldn't be able to see your gauges.

Going on a long trip soon, so I opt for the bracket for now. Not expensive nor hard to install. Not a good picture, sorry, but it's solid and easy to see and work when needed, and the is Touch installed for now. But I will look into the pillar pod, it was what I wanted in the 1st place.

Oh, one thing I need to check into, with this pillar pod, is it easy to get the micro chip out for updates verses what I have now ? What I have now is no problem, quick and easy with plenty of room for my fat fingers, but if you have to disassemble the unit to get to the chip with the pillar pod, then it's questionable if it's worth it.
