Default OME Radio

Jim I did not see one. Today I had a slow day so I parked my Ram on a hill behind my house under some large shade trees and figured it out. First I opened the Owners Manuel and followed all directions and I've got tunes. Apparently the problem was ME.

Thank you all for leading this old man to a successful outcome.

Did you have the the local/dx in local mode? (I think oewm radios have this; it's been so long since I've seen a stock radio.

Rogan.
I don't know about the local/dx mode. I do know that different areas of our country have different frequencies possibly there is an adjustment needed. The Truck was assembled in Mexico, sold new in Northern Idaho to my friend who lived in central Nevada. When he Passed away I inherited the truck and had it shipped to My place in Alabama. The OME radio was am/fm/ cassette. I was online with Diesel Bombers and bought the current installed am/fm/cassette with cd from a man in N. Carolina and installed it myself.

Rogan,
I don't know if there is a solution, I guess I will have to play as is to see if I am happy with it, if I am then problem is solved. If not, I may have to seek professional help. What would you do.

The region of the country shouldn't make any difference. All areas can use the same tuners. I haven't seen a radio with a local/dx button for years. I would say follow Rogan's advice and look for an antenna problem.

Rogan/MtnTom,
Thank you, that is good advice. I will be going to town tomorrow for lumber, wife need's me to build her a chicken pen. We currently have yard chickens and they really clean up the insects, I already built the hen house and Kathy calls it the chicken fort, nothing gets in or out when the door is latched shut. Varment's and coyotes love chicken and we have lost a dozen in two weeks.
BACK TO THE RADIO, I will turn the radio on tomorrow while in transit and see what it does.
