Default Ford clutch rod heim fix

So these have a common tendency to wear out the bushing that goes on the pedal where the clutch master cylinder rod connects.
Once the bushing is gone the eye wears out, along with the pin on the pedal. You could replace both, but why stay with such a failure prone design.

Start by disconnecting the rod, then remove it. Mine was missing the spring clip inside so it pulled right out. Otherwise you need something like a fuel line disconnect tool, but it needs to be fairly deep.
Next make a locator mark on the clutch pedal arm and the mount beside it so you can get it back in the right place later.
Remove the nut then using screwdrivers, chisel, hammer, get the arm off.
Next grind the back of the pin off. Then drive it out.
Now we need to cut the clutch rod down. I laid the heim joint next to it to see where to cut.
Now assemble the heim joint onto the clutch arm. Have the set screw facing down so you can get to it later.
Now it's time to bolt the arm back in. Don't forget to line up the marks we made earlier.

I removed the washer from between the heim joint and clutch arm because it threw the alignment off. I thought it would need it, but it doesn't.
I also left the clutch switch off, as I have it bypassed anyways.
I bought the kit on ebay.
