Default Codes Codes Codes and More Codes

My Smarty is awesome and it posts the code then a translation from Dodge to Retard (my language) haha. However I got this code today P1693
DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM
I have no clue what that means. Cant find an explanation on the net either....

A 1693 is just a companion code that is triggered by another code. You had a code removed by the SMARTY and the 1693 goes away also.

P1693 code can't exist by itself it just a place holder indicating there is more codes present.

Check again with the SMARTY, write the codes down and tell us what the codes are. That way we have a better idea as to what is happening.

No Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal

P1763
Governor Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High

P1693
DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM

First two are tranny issues....third one is just a fault code related to them]


This has been my expirence with the P1693.

Ended up having the governer sensor and transducer replaced in the trans, also speed sensor on the transmission.

maybe that explains my weird, hard shifts with smarty on 9.......and my cruise control issues....lol.....let me research and i will post

With those codes coming up, my truck would stick in 3rd gear. Would not downshift. Also the vehicle speed sensor, tranny output was to blame for one of the codes.

ya mine shifts, never gets stuck, just kind of a hard shift when on Smarty 9.....but on Fuel Saver Smaty #1, it shifts really well. I will have dodge run a scan on it
