Hello, I've never had to look for codes. About 6 months ago, my Banks iQ said there was a fault with the engine crank sensor. Then suddenly it was gone. At the top right hand corner of the iQ screen is an OK icon. That icon wasn't there when this had happened, and then it was gone. It's been in the OK mode since. To check for codes, do turn the key on and off several times? What am I looking for in doing so, thanks in advance.

the key trick is on, off, on, off, on, leaving it on for the last one. Then looking in the odometer window, you should have a PdOnE and an EdOnE, if you have these, then there are no codes. Otherwise, write down the numbers and post them up, that way we can help you.

Since you had the error code a while ago, it may have automatically cleared from the computer.

Anthony, sometimes the key trick won't show you all the codes. a code reader then would be the next step. Maybe an Autozone or PepBoys or something like that will scan it for you for free.

Thank you so much for the help, everything seems fine. It runs just fine, the fuel mileage is good. I really have no complaints, I will do that on off with the key and see what I come up with. Thank you again,

Anthony C

P 0514 Battery Temperature Sensor Rationality. Something could be wrong with the battery temperature sensor that is under both batteries. Check both grounds to make sure that they are grounded good.
