Default Reputable Twin Cities Shop

Folks,

Does anyone know of a good shop in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area? Have MnTom's ole 94 Dodge Cummins P7100 12v, no mods. I'd like to get my alignment checked and not go through the usual "everything needs fixin" list. Just keep me in a running "spare" truck that I can haul a camper with this summer.

I need new tires and thinking of some Goodrich Commercial TA AS and a couple of new batteries. Or some good used ones if any of you guys got some 245s. Oh, and a pretty front seat.

Will be looking to paint the current box or replace it the next few months. I looked at a lot of other Rams and this one has the nicest doors and cab around. Heck I've seen $15,000 diesel rams with rusty doors. So this one is worth putting a few dollars into.

Anyway, my first diesel and having fun, but I don't know a darn thing about them yet. Hoping to learn a few things in this forum and find a couple of diesel heads whose parts piles I can scrounge through for the occasional part or two. Ha.. yes I pay cash.

Thanks for any input.

Darn, if I was only related to Tom so I could dump my truck on him every so often like his kid does.

Like I told you... Bring it up any time you want! We can repair just about anything you want. There is an alignment shop that you don't need an appointment for too.

Believe it or not, she pulled the injectors out of my engine when I replaced my headgasket! All I did was tell her how and she did the rest!

Well, you beat me pal, I never saw high school. Quit young and went into Air Force and did avionics on C141s. Best thing I ever did. Started college in my 40s and will graduate at 52 or 53. Maybe do a masters, we'll see, I have to keep up with college girl or she'll "dis" me right up to the funeral.

BTW... got some used Firestone Transforce HTs in load range E on chev rims for a good price with only a couple/three thousand miles on them. Truck no longer slides on the snow and rides straight with little play. Love them. Rims are for sale.

Also, for the record, Wally World in Blaine Mn off Lexington and 35W did a great job and was a good price for change over on tires and batteries. Worked real hard and were very conscientious. Will go there again.

Still hoping to find that "right" shop locally for the hard bits though!
