No market for it? Yeah right. People don't like them because you say diesel and people think of something that sounds like a detroit diesel and leaks just as bad. All they have to do is have a commercial with "ACTUAL SOUND OF THIS DIESEL" on the screen showing the actual sound. Hell if we all joined together and started a business dumping out the hemi's and putting in a little diesel we would all be rich.

Well I was looking at suitable diesels for the swap and there are a lot of good little 4 cylinders out there. But this beast caught my eye. Fiat N67, 6.7L Inline 6 Marine, 553HP 963TQ.

That would be cooooooollllll!!! However, I don't know of too many 1/2 tons that would have drivetrain enough for that one.

Oh that was for the 6.7 cummins lol, take it out and put that in lol.

There are many 4.5L 4 cylinders that seem to all have almost 500TQ. What would really be killer is getting some of the even smaller 4 bangers and sticking it in the 6spd dakota..

Jeep is saying there is a JK based pickup in the works. Maybe the US will get lucky and get a diesel. But im not holding my breath.

Me too. I heard through the grapevine, well read somewhere, that they are thinking spring 2012 release as a 2013 model.
