Default Chevy Duramax 1 ton front end issues

Hey Guys...

I guy here locally that got 2005 (I think) 1 ton Chevy Duramax with a bit of a front end pull to the left and then there is a popping noise in the front end of the truck. Any ideas? I hear these front end have a issue but not sure...

2WD or 4WD? What kind of a popping noise and when does it do it?

4WD and the popping noise is typically after hitting a pothole or a bridge seam.

They aren't unknown for balljoints, inner tierods and wheel bearings.

Lift the front end by the control arms and shake it down well, chances are there are loose parts.

Updates please, as I have the same problem. How was your vehicle now? Did you see any loose Chevy truck parts?
