Default 1998 dodge ram 24v cummins 3/4 ton 4x4 automatic wiring issue.....need help

I have the above mentioned truck. The ONLY guage that works is the tach. I sent the ECM to cardone to be R&R and they sent it back saying it was fine. I obviously have some sort of wiring issue but we've literaly been tracing wires and making sure theres grounds and 5 volt references and 12 volts....etc for a few months now. Any typical places where a wire might have broken? Any other ideas what might be wrong?

I already started this on another forum and were kind of at a stand still trying to figure it out. Any other input would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link to the other forum so you can see where were at now:

Sounds like you had the PCM checked, but have you had the ECM (the one on the side of the engine) checked? Hey Chris, care to comment?

That is what I thought. Do you know anyone that will allow you to use their ECM for test purposes?

You might try a junkyard PCM and ECM. That way no info is lost.

I don't know for sure, but there should be an EPROM chip in it with certain essential operating info in it so it can do what it needs to do. Like Stodg73 said, maybe a junkyard one will be the most 'cost efficient' way to go.
