I paid $25.50 for a refill on a 30# 2 days ago here in Iowa. If I am not mistaken it holds a tick over 7 gallons. Hate to think what it would cost with road taxes added to it.

Easy way to figure the amount of gallons by weight is propane weighs 4 1/4 pounds per gallon. A 20# (grill size) holds 4.7 gallons and a 30# (camper size) holds 7.05 gallons and a 100# holds 23.5 gallons if they are filled properly.

Hey Stodg73, I have a question for you. When your propane comes on how much do you feel it? I turned mine down to where I can just barely feel it when it comes on. Is that to low?

I really don't feel it come on, I know about when it does due to boost pressures. Mine comes on at about 2 psi of boost, so it comes on with the sudden power of the turbo.

I mean do you feel the power when the propane comes on? I have mine set to about the same pressure you do, but just wondering how much of an increase in power you feel when the gas starts. Is it a noticeable amount, or yea, I can feel some more power, or I don't notice much at all?

I feel a little bit of power added, yet it comes on all at once. I know when the propane is turned on there is more power felt. If it is off, the truck is a little slower to build boost/power.

OK. I *think* I have the setting close to what it should be for what I want. If the adjustment screw on the regulator is screwed in another 1/2 turn I barely feel it, but where it is I can feel it come on. Now to see what the mileage turns out to be. Too bad the tank was filled higher than normal the last time. I have 100 miles on this tankful and the needle is finally down to the full mark.

Well, I guess I need turn the propane down just a bit more. At 1/4 tank of fuel I ran out of propane. BUT, I saw an oil leak under my truck so I got to looking and I still can't figure this one out......... The AFC was loose and flopping around!! Plus I lost about a gallon of oil!! I have 510 miles on and at 1/4 tank I am not sure if it affected my mileage a any.

Not cool... Geez Tom you suppose to keep the oil in the engine not spilling all over like the Exxon Valdez.

Yea.... I know.... I fixed it soon as I saw it.
This fuel mileage thing is really getting to me....... This time I only put 8.3 gallons in the propane tank to fill it PLUS I went to get fuel where I did the last time and NONE of the pumps would work. I went to another station and used my debit card at the pump without thinking and the pump would only go to $75!! That only gave me 18 gallons and the low fuel light was on when I pull in. The next tank full will be with me pulling my fiver so I can have a place to stay while I work out of town for a while. I have a feeling I may be nuked in coming up with an empty mileage figure.
I must say though, mileage or not the propane injection sure made my truck more fun to drive!!
