Default Headlight Question

I am going to replace the headlights on my truck. Mine are quite yellow and they are full of moisture. Now for the big question..... Which ones would be the better ones for overall satisfaction?

The whiter ones of course! Black absorbs light Black might fade with sunlight too. White ones will be less noticeable in 20 years when they happen to crack or something.

Both look good though. Black ones look really good. Which one will show splattered bugs less?

When I replaced mine, I went with new factory style lights, the white ones. They are much brighter than the old ones were.

Here I figured that the black ones would look better on my red truck!! I am kind of surprised that nobody picked them!
ISX I don't know which one would show the bugs less!!!!

I like the dark ones myself. But ISX makes a valid point on the second one with better reflection and less likely to fade.

What are your thoughts on projector headlights? I have not had the opportunity to experience them at night except for them coming at me.

If they are HID lighting you might want to check your local laws but the last I checked all aftermarket HID lighting is illegal in all 50 states. Because of poor retro-fit kits and blinding on coming vehicles. But I would double check on that once again to be sure...

I discussed the projector lights with my daughter and she brought up a good point. The projector lights would look "too futuristic" on a second gen truck and I think I agree with her, so those are out anyhow legal or not.
edit: I wouldn't be just sticking new bulbs in. These are the way I would do it:http://www.ebay.com/itm/GLOSSY-BLACK...156c28&vxp=mtr
This is pretty much what they would look like in my truck:

Hey,

I have heard and read about the one piece headlights being more difficult to get adjusted versus the normal 2 piece. I did a retro fit with projectors into a 2 gen headlight awhile back. I will look for my write up and post some pictures later on.
