Well the filter unscrews from the bottom. And the sender would sit on top and wouldnt move when changing the fuel filter

OH, OK. My truck is different, the cap unscrews from the base. Since yours unscrews from the bottom, then you should be good.

Actually mine is below the filter top so the line is not touched for filter changes. If you 98.5-99 then you might be in the way to drop the filter can...

I think maybe you guys are confused about what Im talking about. I may have confused you with talking about a bunch of different things in one thread but I have a 98.5 and my filter canister unscrews from the cap. The cap stays on the block theres 2 plugs in the cap (1 in "prefilter" 1 out "post filter"). If my theory is correct I SHOULD be able to install my sending unit right where the front plug is "post filter".....in a perfect world....

Yes, you should be able to use the post filter plug for your fuel pressure sender. Thank you for posting the picture and clearing up lots of questions.

How do I install a "low perssure alert light" for my fuel pressure gauge? (can you tell Im a little bit concerned with this POS vp44 and making it last as long as humanly possible???...lol). Is it something fairly simple that you can do yourself with basic stuff from a hardware or parts store? (I love doing that kind of stuff.)

Yes, you should use the hose and make sure that it has at least a 90* bend or more, due to the water hammer effect.

For putting the light in, just use a tee and put one on each side at the end of the grease gun hose.
