Default tire help

I have an 01 2500 Cummins. How big can I go with tires if I put on a 2.5 inch leveling kit? And how big would I need to put on 38s?

Is your truck a regular cab, extended/quad cab, short/long box, SPORT edition, 4x4, 4x2. If your truck is a 4x4 SPORT edition, a 2" leveling kit will work for 38's, however if not then you need to go a little bigger.

Do you have 16" or 17" tires? With 16" wheels on a stock height '98 QC shortbox 4wd 305/75R16 will fit without issues.

The SPORT editions have plastic front and painted rear bumpers and came from the factory 2" taller than non-SPORTS. I know that 305's will fit, but they will rub on the inner fenders when turning sharply.

The 305's will fit, yet they will rub.
