Default Downshifting/ Irratic throttle- help!

i have a 2003 2500 cr with the 48re trans, a few months ago the truck started unlocking and downshifting on the freeway and had irratic throttle, and i couldnt get over 30mph. the next day when it would rev high, the transmission was making noise so i had the transmission rebuilt he atated new od sol, governor and transducer, it drove fine for a week then the same issue but without the noise, its an intermittent problem. it will be fine and drive normal for a bit then be back to the same issues, i since then have replaced alternator, battery terminals and installed a bd noise isolator. im getting sick of spending money and the next step was going to be an apps sensor. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, WELCOME! Far as your issue with the truck, I am not real familiar with the fly by wire systems on yours, but, that sounds a lot like the APPS. From what I understand about the only other thing it could be is a computer issue. If you know anyone with a scanner that can monitor the APPS it would tell you real quick.

Welcome to The Diesel Truck Site!

Have you scanned the truck for trouble codes? You can try the key trick, on, off, on, off, on and the looking in the odometer window you will see P-codes and E-codes. When you get them, post them up.

You might also try and put a 10 ga. ground wire from the battery to a bolt on the transmission, since ground issues can cause all kinds of problems.

Hooked up scanner lastnight had some codes but not sure which ones are from battery's dying and from diagnosing things, but I did see governor pressure dropping around 30 psi lower when it revs up

Common problem with all automatics trucks is the alternator feeding AC noise back into the system driving the computers nuts causing wild up and down shifting as well and lock and unlock of the torque converter.

This is one thing to check on...

If the batteries are original, they could be the problem. Bad batteries and bad grounds cause havoc and indefinable or unrelated problems.
