My thought was like propane spray a small amount at low boost trying to get to say 22-23 MPG with the A/C blowing.

That is entirely possible. I gained about 5 MPG with propane, so a small amount of methanol should work quite well I would think.

I did some thermostat testing here are my results
Napa 190 degree opens 183.2 & runs 185 full open
Cummins 190 Degree opens 180 & runs 181.3 full open
Duralast 192 degree opens 190 & runs 190.4 full open
Old rusty Cummins 190 degree opens 190 & runs 192.1 full open.

I don't like Autozone parts but this is the only thermostat that functions correctly out of the bunch besides the old rusty Cummins thermostat. Motor is nice and quiet again I'm a happy camper.

Fuel mileage results from moving our friends all in town city driving 18.87.
Trailer weight empty 1500lbs.
load of furniture on trailer & truck?

I'm running just distilled water & DO 7 nozzle EGT's 220 degrees cooler than normal
hard pull running 90+ EGT's 1038 degrees.

Have a Great Day!

Interesting thermostat results. I take it you are running the Duralast stat? I am running a Cummins stat and it still cycles, but I am used to it so I don't worry about it too much.

Yes I'm running the Duralast it runs morning 190.4 & afternoon 192.2 thats due to the temperature swings here in Texas. I have always run the Cummins stat as well my old one ran 190 the new wasn't even close.

Mileage this tank 19.64 mpg I ran 95 mph a couple times this week checking the cooling of the water/methanol injection running just distilled water.

Have a Great Day!

That tiny amount of change from morning to afternoon temp probably doesn't even show up on the factory gauge. However, these engines do like heat and your mileage figure show that! Keep up the good work!

I setup my 2 stage methanol injection 2 weeks ago here are some results.
Mileage results 19.73 mpg distilled water
Mileage results 20.29 mpg mileage tune & distilled water
This morning I went to the race shop & picked up 5 gallons of Methanol I'm going to run 49% methanol & 50% distilled water no tunes just my 50hp injectors & Water Methanol injection.
Stage 1 is set to spray @ 5psi boost Stage 2 is set @ 20psi boost.
I'll post my results at the end of next week.

Have a Great weekend!

So, are those numbers city or city/highway driving? Have you done any towing with your truck and have numbers?
