The numbers I posted on this page are my daily drive to work & back on the way to work all freeway 68-70 mph on the way home from work 15 minutes of stop & go traffic top speed 0-30mph then 68-70 for the rest for the trip home you could call it city & highway due to the stop and go traffic.

My impression of running 50/50 water methanol performance wise just like my tuner except the EGT's jumped to over 1310 degrees at 90 mph with the skinny pedal on the floor I've never been that high before & it jump there quick.
We will have to see how the mileage holds it will have to increase 1-3 mpg over what I'm getting now for me to justify running methanol.

So far the best bang has been running just distilled water with the mileage tune Highest EGT's were 1130's at 90+ mph. With no tune & distilled water 1030's.

Have a Great Day!

Mileage with 50/50 mix of distilled water & M1 methanol 21.07 mpg.
I'm going to play with the mix of methanol so I can have the best of both cooling & mpg gains.

Have a Great Day!

I am curious what ratio works best for you. I would think that the more M1 the better the mileage would be, but the more water the better the EGTs. Decisions, decisions......

Latest Mileage results they are kind of all over the place based on the Houston traffic a lot of stop & go.
19.92mpg
20.37mpg
20.66mpg
I use 1 gallon of fluid a week 1 tank last 7 weeks. I'm still playing with the mix but it's looking like the 50/50 mix is going to net the best mileage at 21.07 that been the best I've gotten so far.

Have a Great Weekend!

That sounds like good progress! I just got back from a vacation (2000+ miles most towing) and got 17.7mpg at 65 mph with my fiver on, but that is another thread (I have yet to post up).

A little update on mileage.
20.66
20.52
20.57
I added 1 gallon of distilled water to the 50/50 mix to lower the EGT's I'm still running on the same 8 gallons I put in the tank back in July but I'm getting close to the bottom of the tank the light for the tank float hasn't come on yet.

Have a Great Day!

You must have things about where your truck likes it. Your mileage figures are quite consistant. The best part is the drop in EGTs. That tankful is lasting a long time!

Update on my Water Methanol Injection
Mileage on the last few tanks.
20.61 mpg
20.62 mpg
20.19 mpg
The tank is close to empty the fill light is on looks like the tank is going to last about 4 months.
The mix is 1 gal. M1 Methanol 6 gallons of distilled water this is the happy medium for my particular truck.
It keeps the mpg's in the high 20's & spools the turbo very quickly & keeps the egt's below 1200 degrees.
Now that the temp's hear in Texas are dropping into the 50's I'll report back with the mileage with the A/C off it should be in the 22-23 mpg range I'll give the exact numbers in a few weeks.

Have a Great Day!

That is a real consistent set of numbers! I know of a few guys that would love to get 20mpg (right, Rogan?). I am curious as to the difference A/C makes. Thanks for keeping us informed!
