dodge automatic. how much play in the rear trans bushing and how to change it?

I moved your other post here to help with your question. Exactly which bushing are you wondering about? Is it the one where the drive shaft comes out?

Here is an exploded view of the 241 dhd transfer case. To change the bushing pull the drive shaft, then pull the extension housing. Once you do that you can see how to remove and replace the bushing. Is the seal leaking on yours?

Make sure to use a true Dodge seal on the as some of the aftermarket ones don't seal properly. Make sure that there are no burrs on the tailshaft housing before installing the bushing. I went through 6 seals before using the Dodge one and found a burr on the tailshaft housing. Also, if the transfer case is aluminum, use ATF to fill it.
